Karen Batino

Karen Batino is a middle-woman by profession, a caretaker in public practice, and an art historian by training. She studied at the University of the Philippines and accomplished her bachelor's in Art Studies and Film. In 2016, Karen moved to Tokyo, Japan to work as an archivist and a curator, while taking a master's degree in Art History in the Japanese Studies program at Sophia University (上智大学). After graduating from the master's program Karen moved to the Netherlands and continue to work in the arts and cultural sector. The platform Via Art Desk—her labor of love—offers management, archiving, and (ad)ministration for the arts and cultural sector.
